We keep a 100% ratio of primary school attendance and a 100% graduation rate. We provide students with a full curriculum yet have a strict timetable to control the students’ study time at school. Our school takes effective measures to lessen the learning pressure of the students and ensure their daily one-hour physical training. We pay special attention to the students’ interest and have all kinds of extra curriculum activities to help them further develop their specialty. The school has a long history of Ping-Pong playing and has kept the men’s and women’s team championship titles for over ten sessions in the municipal Ping-Pong competition for primary school. Our students also won first and second prizes in the national and provincial robot competitions. Besides, we also won many first prizes in the recital contest and oral English competition held by the municipal government. The school chorus has won the first prizes in the municipal and provincial competitions as well. Through all these activities, our students developed their interest and enhanced their abilities.

Canglang Experimental Primary School was founded in 1902. First named as Tianci Zhuang Primary School, Canglang Experimental Primary School was then affiliated to the Jinghai girls’ school which was established by the United States Methodist Episcopal Church. Later it was combined with Zhenhua Primary School (founded by Lady Wang Xiechangda and her daughter Lady Wang Jiyu in 1906) and changed its name to Soochow Canglang Primary School in 1958.
